What happened to Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes? 😮
Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes were the original co-anchors of GMA3 since its launch in March 2020. They were both married to other people when they started working together, but they reportedly fell in love and began an affair in August 2022. Their romance was revealed to the public, and their employer, in November 2022, when photos were published by Daily Mail of the pair getting cuddly together. One picture showed them holding hands, another showed him patting her on the bottom. 😳
The scandal caused an internal and external distraction for ABC News, which temporarily sidelined the co-anchors in December 2022. ABC News President Kim Godwin said in a statement that after several productive conversations with Amy and T.J., they all agreed it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. They were officially fired on January 27, 2023. 😢
Since then, Amy and T.J. have reportedly initiated divorces from their respective spouses Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig. They have also been seen out and about together numerous times, including when they took a romantic vacation to Mexico in February, ran the New York City Half Marathon together in March, and went on a hand-holding walk in NYC in April. They seem to be happy and in love despite the controversy. 💕
