Scott Baio is Leaving California: Here's Why
Scott Baio, the former star of Happy Days and Charles in Charge, has announced that he is leaving California after 45 years. The actor, who is also an outspoken conservative and Trump supporter, cited the rising crime and homelessness in the state as his main reasons for moving out. 🚗
In a series of tweets, Baio shared his frustration with the Golden State's policies and conditions, and said he was going to “exit stage right” from California. He also posted a screenshot of a KTLA news story about homeless encampments near Beverly Hills, and quoted the alarming statistics on homelessness in L.A. County and the city. 😲
Baio's decision sparked mixed reactions from his followers, some of whom supported his move and others who criticized him for being superficial and insensitive. Baio defended himself by saying that the homeless crisis was affecting his property value, his safety, and his quality of life. He also said that California would miss the high taxes he paid. 💰
The actor did not reveal where he was moving to, but he hinted that he already had a home in Florida. He also retweeted his wife Renee's message that they were changing their whole lives for their daughter Bailey's dream of becoming a golfer. 🏌️♀️
Baio is not the only celebrity who has left California in recent years. Mark Wahlberg, Joe Rogan, Elon Musk, and Ben Shapiro are some of the famous names who have relocated to other states, such as Nevada, Texas, and Tennessee. They have also cited similar reasons as Baio, such as high taxes, strict regulations, and social issues. 🛫
So what do you think? Is California really unsafe and unlivable? Or is Baio overreacting and abandoning his home state? Do you agree with his decision or not? Let us know in the comments below! 😊
