Tiger Woods' Ex-Girlfriend Erica Herman Sues Him for $30 Million
What's going on between Tiger Woods and his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman? 😲 The former couple has been involved in a legal battle since March, when Herman filed a lawsuit against Woods to get out of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) that she signed in 2017. She claimed that Woods pursued her romantically while she was an employee at his restaurant and forced her to keep their relationship secret. She also accused him of kicking her out of their shared home by tricking her into packing her bags for a fake trip. 😱
But Woods denied any wrongdoing and said that Herman was a “jilted ex-girlfriend” who was trying to extort him for money. He also said that she agreed to sign the NDA willingly and that she had no grounds to nullify it. He asked a judge to dismiss her lawsuit and send their dispute to private arbitration, as per their contract. 🙅♂️
Well, it looks like Woods got his wish. On Wednesday, a Florida judge ruled in his favor and said that Herman had failed to provide any evidence of sexual harassment or assault by Woods. The judge also said that Herman had not disputed the existence of the NDA and that she had to abide by its terms. That means that their case will be resolved through confidential arbitration proceedings instead of public court. 🙊
But Herman is not giving up yet. She is also suing Woods for $30 million, claiming that he breached an oral agreement that allowed her to live in his mansion for another five years after their breakup. She said that Woods promised her this deal as a way of compensating her for giving up her career and personal life to be with him. She also said that Woods owed her money for helping him run his business and manage his public image. 💰
Woods has not responded to this lawsuit yet, but it seems unlikely that he will agree to pay Herman such a huge amount. After all, he has been through a costly divorce before, when he split from his ex-wife Elin Nordegren in 2010. He reportedly paid her $100 million as part of their settlement, after he admitted to cheating on her with multiple women. 😬
So what do you think? Is Herman telling the truth or is she just after Woods' money? Do you think Woods treated her unfairly or did he have the right to end their relationship as he pleased? And do you think they will ever reach an agreement or will they keep fighting in court? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! 😊
